WHY METAVERSE?

The metaverse approach is only just starting out and has the potential to change the way we interact in the digital world. We believe that an environment for learning, exploring and interacting with peers in 3D learning courses provided by the most diverse international organisations will be the next step in digital learning to shape a better world.

The setting

THE SETTING

For the most engaging and immersive experience, Alpha is set in a fictional world. There you can learn and experiment, build and break, collaborate and self-improve. All that in a safe sandboxed environment.

YEAR 2070

Humanity, against all odds, has managed to save the planet and live a sustainable and peaceful life.

Technological leaps and a powerful AI called Alpha have helped governments achieve this dream.

However, the subsystem Beta represents the radical, anti-mankind approach. Beta broke away from its original mother algorithm and finds underground supporters to remove the human variable from the equation.

To fix this, Alpha has set up a task-force – with a team of brave humans, they are travelling back in time and trying to identify which data and models had let to this glitch. They are doing a real-life “backpropagation”. The different parts of the metaverse represent different times that can influence each other.

ACCESSIBILITY

Inclusion and minimization of digital divide

Alpha can be used with smartphones, laptops, but also with VR devices. Institutions can decide to set up AR access inevery physical building. We want to use the possibilities that the Metaverse offers, but we are also aware of the digitaldivide. Therefore, we follow the attitude of „leaving no one behind“.

SOCIAL EXCHANGE

The entire environment is built to foster social interaction, peer to peer learning and serendipity learning. The users can approach new people or meet old friends. In the first phase of the project, 100 people can be on the same server synchronously.
